No. They join the workspaces you invite them to using existing Google, Microsoft, or Melp identity, and they do not need a separate paid seat to collaborate with you.

Can an external party see anything beyond what we share?

No. Access is granted per workspace and, within a workspace, per topic. External participants only see the workspaces, topics, and files shared with them rather than blanket access across your environment.

How is this different from guest access in Microsoft Teams or Slack Connect?
